Nixx Photography Ulysses

I volunteer with a dog rescue by taking photos of their fosters. These photos are used for their online profile and also to promote them on social media.

I try to get appealing photos that show what the dog looks like, but I also try to get some with their personality.

Sometimes they haven't had much human contact before coming into care, or that contact wasn't always positive. I like to give them their space and let them come to me.

Sometimes, as was the case with Ulysses, they do not trust the camera and will not make eye contact if it can be avoided or will make sure there is always something between them and the camera.

I've put together several different sounds, things they wouldn't hear everyday, and have to be quick to capture them as soon as they look towards the sound, which is how I was able to capture these gorgeous eyes.
