Sunflowers ❤️

Last night something beautiful happened..
We had been granted permission to use this field of the most incredible sunflowers by the very kind land owner and they were literally as far as the eye could see..
So.. it called for my first lightpainting session since september last year!...and my gosh was it needed after this last 4 months...
Now...
This is all in camera apart from a few adjustments in lightroom.. Clarity.. Saturation etc and is NOT cgi...
As always.. I'll break it down for you... ????

I stand behind the model with the light tube..
in this instance an orange tube with a military grade flashlight inside set to around 800 lumens..

Wireless trigger in hand connected to the receiver some 10 feet away... I countdown.. 3..2..1... I start the exposure which is set to 2 seconds and... Spin... At the moment the shutter is about to close a flashgun fires and freezes the model... I dont normally use a flash but.. I've been experimenting and..

It works ????????

The tube colour lended itself really well to illuminating the sunflowers and bringing out the vibrant oranges and yellows...
Beautifully matched with the blues in the sky and stunning cloud formations...
To say I'm pleased with this image is an understatement considering its been nearly a year since i "painted" last ????????
There are quite a few more to come from this session.. But for now...
