Location
This photograph was taken at Pennington Flash Local Nature Reserve located in Leigh LancashireTime
I had been watching the weather forcasts for a couple of days for an ideal sunset photograph and had visited the site a couple of times before. This wasn't my first choice of location at the park but the sun wouldn't set in the right place for that location for a couple of months so I hunted out a second location just before sunset.Lighting
Only natural light.Equipment
This photograph was taken with a Nikon D7100 using a 18 - 105mm lens and a ten stop NiSi filter, tripod and remote shutter release.Inspiration
Sunset photography is a favourite style for me, the way the sky was lighting up and the colours it was casting made it an enjoyable if not feet wetting, should have worn wellies.Editing
There was very little post processing taking it from RAW to JPeg with a little lifting of the shadows in the foreground and a little reduction in the highlights. In my camera bag
Currently in my camera bag is a Sony a7iii, FE 4/24 - 105 G OSS & FE 4/70-200 G OSS lenes NiSi Filter set.Feedback
Watch the weather forecasts, get there early to compose and set up, the liight changes so quickly at sunset. Be patient, I took about 10 exposures to get this one and this was taken towards the end when the sky took on the magenta glow for the first time that evening.
