River, a 9.5 week old Chesapeake Bay Retriever has been my constant companion for almost 4 years now. I can photograph him at all times of the day, but this particular image was taken in the morning hours after he woke up and greeted me inside my studio. Quickly set up a posed shot of my boy.Lighting
This was a three light setup. Main light was soft octabox camera left and a reflector fill camera right. One overhead soft box strip light to accent his head and eyes. One backdrop light with a 10 degree grid spot to accent the background.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark IV with a Canon 24-105 f4 L IS Lens at 105mm, f 5.6, 1/125 sec and ISO 100. Three light Speedotron flash setup. Bogen tripod.Inspiration
I got my dog River during Covid shutdowns and have been blessed with his unconditional love. I take photos of him almost daily and he now knows exactly what to do to pose when I ask him.Editing
