Location
This photo was taken in Florence, Oregon. I have been shooting for over 40 years and love the ART of fine art photography.Time
This image is a single frame from a shoot that I did in 2015. It was taken in the late afternoon along the central Oregon Coast. Depicting the the oddisey of things we sometime encounter.Lighting
Nothing special about the lighting, but wanted to be able to show the relatively calm ocean against the dramatic sky..... and of course the contrasting colors of the gentleman on the bike.Equipment
Canon 5D II with 16-35 f4 L IS I lens. Hand held.Inspiration
I am always looking for the unusual and funny things in life. No inspiration here, just the right place and right time.Editing
All RAW files need to be processed. This image was done in Adobe LR and a Grad Filter was used to accent the sky. The blowing yellow jacket tie was relocated in Adobe PS to accent the wind and motion of the scene. In my camera bag
Canon 5D II, III and IV bodies. Canon 16-35 f4 L IS II, 70-200 f2.8 L IS II, 24-105 f4 L IS II, 180 macro f3.5 L, 50 f1.8, Sigma 150-600 f5.6-6.3 Sport. Gitzo carbon fiber tripod with a Wimberly II head. Various ND filters and Circular Polarizers. Extra batteries, Cards and chargers. Tamrac and Lowepro bags.Feedback
This would be a hard image to capture again without it being staged, but it could be done. Take your time, double check all your settings and let your imagination soar.
