This lake is one of the first destinations you meet going towards the Dolomites starting from the plains of Northern Italy.
It is located just 268m above sea level.
From here on clear days you can admire the first peaks of the Dolomites, the "serious" peaks in the background.
It is not for this reason that it is less beautiful than the most famous alpine lakes, indeed, especially in spring and summer, the colors of these areas seem fairytale, like in a postcard !
