Behind The Lens

Location

Photo taken in Menna House Hotel, by the pyramids in Egypt.

Time

I took this photo on 26 May, 2020. After the hotels and public places started to open back up again after the COVID-19 lockdown.

Lighting

The photo was taken after a nice day by the pool, so around late afternoon, the sun was making it’s way through the stairway windows, giving it a nice composition.

Equipment

This was shot using my iphone XS. Just me and my handy iphone.

Inspiration

I was waiting for the elevator, and originally was going to take a pic of the vase with the bamboo sticks. But once i got close, i saw this view.

Editing

Only minor post-processing was done on this picture. Post-processing was done using instagram. So as I said, just minor processing to show what I actually saw

In my camera bag

No equipment at all, not even a bag. All my photos are taken using my phone.

Feedback

You never know where a good shot is hiding. This shot was taken using my phone, in a hotel stairway, waiting for the elevator. All I had to do is look up. Great shots are everywhere, you don’t need to wait to get to that special location.
