Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Lake Conjola NSW a place badly damaged by the 2020 Australian January bushfires.

Time

This photo was taken just before lunch on a beautiful winters day.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny day right in the middle where the sun was highest in the sky.

Equipment

The lens I used was my 70-300mm. I took it from an open window of my car as we quickly pulled up on the side of the road.

Inspiration

I'm a big child at heart and I love watching Disney movies and the old rusty truck reminded me of the character Mator from the movie 'Cars.'

Editing

I used Lightroom to darken & enhance the image slightly as the sun had made the photo too bright.

In my camera bag

I have only a few go to lenses in my bag - a nifty fifty, a good portrait lens the 85mm, 100mm, 24-105mm and my 70-300mm. I carry a remote, a red light torch, some filters, the usual - batteries and compact flash memory cards. I also have a lens ball for those creative shots.

Feedback

I consider myself still a beginner photographer as I'm always learning.
