Location
I took this photo at Lake Louise, Canada. It was taken in September 2017 on our holiday during the bad bushfire season so lots of our photos of the beautiful scenery had no blue skies as a backdrop to reflect in the water.Time
This photo was taken during early evening as the sun had just set.Lighting
I like the light and mood you get from night time photography. There’s something very serene about photographing in the night.Equipment
I am using my ‘forever 20’ year old son Jacob’s camera - his prize possession as his career path was becoming a cinematographer but his life was cut short as he passed away in his prime from Ewing’s Sarcoma. So now I’m seeing the world through his eyes - the lens of his camera, keeping us connected. The camera is a Canon 5D Mark 2. I didn’t have a tripod, I just rested it on the rocks. No flash, just shot it and hoped for the best.Inspiration
I liked the little boat cabin glowing with the lights and reflecting on the water in dark surroundings.Editing
No prossessing, what you see is what you got.In my camera bag
While I was on this holiday overseas my equipment was minimal as I had to carry it around in luggage, but when I’m home my bag is a lot fuller with batteries, remote, different lenses, a lensball, the camera manual (as I’m still a learner)Feedback
No not really, I’m only a beginner. I take lots and just hope one turns out ok
