The Waal is the main river in The Netherlands. Near Nijmegen, the Rhine splits between The Rhine (1:3) and the Waal (2:3). It is the main transporting waterway from Rotterdam to Germany (Ruhr) and further on to Switzerland.
The weather was so beautiful (a real blue sky, and sunny) that the normally gray river turned to blue.
The picture was taken from the bridge at Ewijk.
