Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the UEA lake in Norwich, UK. I’m a self taught photographer so every new situation is a learning curve for me.

Time

It was during the first lockdown, when Nature was beginning to reappear in all its glory. Birds were becoming bolder, and more abundant. Even still it took some patience to get this shot, it was just as the sun was about to set.

Lighting

It was such a lovely calm evening. I was hoping to convey the beauty and abundance of Nature as it was coming out, when humans were hiding due to lockdown. I hope people get a sense of tranquility when looking at it.

Equipment

Canon 1000D 18-55mm lens

Inspiration

I am a Nature lover. And the peacefulness was so alluring and beautiful. I wanted to capture that moment.

Editing

Yes, but along a little. I enhanced the brightness of the photo a little, so as to make the colours become more vibrant, to do the real scenery justice. That’s it.

In my camera bag

My canon 1000D with my 18-55mm lens and my 60mm lens.

Feedback

When capturing wildlife, a good amount of patience is always good. And always keep a look out and seize any and all opportunities that present themselves. I find that sometimes so if the best shots you take are always the ones you never intended.
