Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo one early morning at the Elk River walk in Fortuna Ca. Humboldt County This is a great place to walk my 4 yo best friend “ Fractal”.

Time

I always start my day early at 5 AM I love to watch the mountains of Redwood walk up subtly to the rolling fog of muted colors. An added feature is when it starts lifting up when the Sun peeks out from behind the mountains and wakes every living thing for another great day!

Lighting

It’s natural as it can be. I waited for the light to come faintly through the mist. And took many shots

Equipment

iPhone 13 pro max

Inspiration

I’m always looking out for scenes that make me say Wow! It’s all internal really. I just get the tug to capture !

Editing

I often take it through Lightroom for contrast and little definition.

In my camera bag

Well I got just my iPhone. But when I go on photo walks I carry my Canon 7D Mark II and a couple of lenses. Extra batteries, Manfrotto tripod, umbrella and an apple

Feedback

Go out there and be in awe! Just do it. One exploratory trip is never the same even if you go often there’s always something that’ll grab your inner soul’s attention ! Have fun !
