Photography is an art and I am just learning. This photo was taken at Callala Beach, Jervis Bay, Australia.Time
The beach is so very long and curves in an arc that it is possible to take both sunrise and sunset shots. This particular photo was taken as the sun is going down.Lighting
No special lighting required. All of the colours are simply provided by nature.Equipment
As I am just starting out I bought a Nikon D3400. Once my skills improve I will invest in more or higher grade equipment. No special equipment was required for this picture. Just a long walk along the beach (and thankfully it was a low tide) to get to the right spot.Inspiration
Jervis Bay is such a beautiful and serene part of Australia. Stunning beaches, country and wildlife. Unfortunately due to the summer bushfires the season was cut short and ash and branches were being washed ashore. The picture hopefully captures the vulnerability of our environment but still show its beauty.Editing
I didn't want to change the colours of the reds as it goes along with the story of the bushfires. I only did a slight enhancement of the picture. Basically the moment captured in the photo is the same beautiful sunset that I was privileged to experience. In my camera bag
At the moment I only carry my Nikon D3400. I have a tripod which only comes out for certain photos. I have just purchased a couple of new lenses and am looking forward to sharing some new and interesting photos.Feedback
Persistence is the key. Every day the sunset is different. Keep getting out there and enjoy the moment. Just don't forget to take a photo of its beauty!
