Behind The Lens

Location

Early morning beach shot at Callala Beach. The beach is so quiet at sunrise and it is always changing. I am new to photography. I think I have an eye for what should be in a picture but am only learning the skill of using my camera.

Time

I find sunrise is the best time to be out taking photos. The light is different to sunset and it is a beautiful way to start my day and be mindful of how lucky I am.

Lighting

The drama comes from the fog crawling over the water - a very pleasant and unexpected morning.

Equipment

The photo was tsken using the standard lens on my Nikon D3400.

Inspiration

I love watching the sunrise over the water. A time of peace when I can breath in the fresh morning air and prepare myself for the day.

Editing

No post processing of this picture. Naturally the fog has toned everything down.

My Nikon D3400 is always with me - I never want to miss a photo opportunity and sometimes the nicest shots are when you are not expecting them. So be prepared!
