The photo was taken at Birds of Eden a sanctuary for birds near Plettenberg Bay in the south coast of South AfricaTime
It was taken late afternoon and the light reflect on the birds.Lighting
The light was soft and lid the bird up and because the bird was agains a dark background it reflected a mirror image of the bird on the water.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D and Canon 100-400mm lens to shoot with no tripod.Inspiration
