Behind The Lens

Location

The German Ghost Town of Kolmanskop is a village from the diamond rush area in Namibia from before the second world war. You will need a special photographers permit to access the area as a photographer before sunrise.

Time

It was early in the morning with sunrise. Its in the diamond area so you will need a special permit to access the area at Kolmanskop.

Lighting

It was at sunrise in the morning light and the light came in at the doorway.

Equipment

I shot with my Canon 7D and used my 18-200mm Sigma lens. No Tripod was used with this photo coz we were rushing around to get photos. I might have used the mono-pod.

Inspiration

We were 4 photographers / friends that traveled to Namibia my birth country to take photos and at Kolmanskop we walked around before sunrise to take these photos.

Editing

I use a noise removal tool and for the final touches I use Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I use Canon equipment

Feedback

Look and learn from others.. never stop taking photos cos you will always learn from it and have a winner like this one.
