Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my kitchen right under the window right after I water the flower.

Time

It was about noon.

Lighting

The sun was just above the house and light was coming into the window a the right angle to help the flower really open up.

Equipment

I used my iPhone 11 Pro with telephoto lens to narrow my focal length.

Inspiration

I just finished eating my lunch and forgot to water the flower. It just opened up perfectly right after I water it. The sun was coming in just right into the window in the kitchen.

Editing

I did do some small edits. I turn the photo black and white. Then slowly added some saturation back into the photo until the sun just highlighted the shadows. I used the photos app for iOS to edit the photo.

In my camera bag

My everyday bag contains my Sony A7 ii with a 50mm. A pen and paper with an extra battery.

Feedback

I always carrier my iPhone as well as my DSLR because you never know which is going to capture the scene correctly. I did short with my camera as well as my phone and in this case my phone did a better job.
