Excellent composition and perfect tones

Behind The Lens

Location
At my home in Faversham, UK
Time
It was coming up for midday, when the most light gets into this room.
Lighting
Natural light with a reflector
Equipment
Sony A7iii, 35mm lens, tripod, 10s self-timer
Inspiration
The two things I love most are photography and literature. Literature was my first great passion and it saved me during a bit of a bleak childhood. During lockdown I wasn't able to photograph anyone so I started doing self-portraits. This is me beside one of my bookcases.
Editing
I changed the colour and tone of many of the books so they suited the golden tones of the floor, the stool and my hair and the greys.
In my camera bag
Sony A7iii, 50mm, 85mm, 35mm, remote, tripod
Feedback
Watch out for the different colours of book spines - the colours often don't work together.
