Overall the light was quite balanced but there were a few rays shining through the leaves which gave it a great feel.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3500 with the 15 to 75mm VR Nikor lens. I didn't use anything else.Inspiration
I take a lot of walks through forests and I was trying to capture an easy shot on the eyes. Something with a lot of detail but is easy to look at.Editing
I mainly enhanced the colours of the leaves and surrounding greenery while also accenting the light rays to give it a bit more depth.In my camera bag
I carry the 15 - 75mm and my 75 - 300 lens on me at all times, occasionally my tripod and also a spare battery with me.Feedback
In my opinion the best thing to look for is the difference between the shadows and the light coming through the trees (depending on how dense the forest is). When there are a lot of deep blacks and some rays shining through it could really add to the image.
