Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Hills country around Little River, Bank Peninsula, New Zealand

Time

I think this image was taken about 2 pm on a cloudy, windy day.

Lighting

The light was not the best, so I used a longer exposure with an ND filter to slow down the cloud movement.

Equipment

Just the camera an OM-D E-M1 Mk1 with a 12 - 40mm f2.8 lens

Inspiration

This was a shot you sometimes see out of the corner of your eye. An opportunity for a great image. Taken from the road at a good vantage point.

Editing

Yes. Some adjustment to the contrast and lighting of the image.

In my camera bag

I normally have either the OM-D EM1 Mk 1 or Mk2 with a 12-40 f2.8 Pro Lens and either a 12 -15mm / 100 -400mm telephoto.

Feedback

Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Pack an extra lens and make use of the light that you can to get the shot from the opportunity available. A selection of ND filters in your bag. Weave the light your way!
