Location
This photo was taken on the shore of the Intercoastal Waterway under the bridge on Hwy.98 in Gulf County, FLTime
The weather that day was very gloomy to say the least. It was dark, overcast and the fog was rolling in and out. It was close to lunchtime when I drove to this location. The pelicans were on a feeding frenzy as were the Snowy Egrets. This one just decided to do a little fishing from the rocks on the shoreline.Lighting
With it being as gloomy as it was, I wasn't sure that any of the photos I took that day would even look presentable.Equipment
I shoot a Nikon D500. This was with the Nikkor 80-400mm lens and handheld.Inspiration
Wildlife is one of the things I love to photograph. I love to catch them "doing" something. This one was fishing for lunch.Editing
I did lighten up the photo some. As I have stated, it was rather dark and overcast that day. The photo was also cropped a little. He wasn't too far away, so it didn't take much.In my camera bag
I carry the Nikon D500, Nikkor 80-400mm, Tamron 70-200 f2.8 and a Nikkor 12-24mm f4. I do not own a flash.Feedback
Patience. Above all, patience when it comes to wildlife.
