Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. This area is protected by the Bahamian government to help protect the Tiger Sharks.

Time

Mid afternoon

Lighting

Natural sunlight at about 25 feet underwater

Equipment

Canon 7d ii Ikelight housing Tokina 10-17mm

Inspiration

Sharks are my inspiration. I love the animals and it is my goal to help conservation efforts through my photography and educating the pubic on sharks! Save the sharks!

Editing

Yes. Lightroom is my choice for post production. I adjusted white balance saturation and worked to emphasize the shark through adjustments in white, black, and shadows.

In my camera bag

My go to for underwater shots is my 7d ii and tokina 10-17

Feedback

Get scuba certified and find a good housing for your camera. Make sure you test your gear before getting in the water!!!!! Flooded housings are expensive and will ruin your trip in a matter of seconds. Keep shooting and keep striving for that perfect shot!
