This is a salvaged propeller from Lusitania, a luxurious British liner, launched in 1906. Built for the transatlantic passenger trade, it was noted for its speed but, during World War I, the Lusitania was sunk by a German torpedo, resulting in great loss of life. The propeller is currently sited at Liverpool's waterfront, a UNESCO world Heritage Site.

Taken several years ago, but uploaded to enter into the Old Industry photo challenge.
