Beautiful photo! I love the colors. I just purchased the Canon EOS R5. Do you use the free Canon software? I heard that it really brings out the brilliant colors from Canon cameras.

Good day Karen, thank you for you comment, no I don't use the Canon software, I use Lightroom on this one, and now I added Topaz Denoise AI with my post-treatment. I'm thinking to acquire the R5 next year! Have a great day😉

Location
This photo was taken in the Hudson region near Montreal while we were staying at the Auberge des Gallant in March 2020.Time
This photo was taken around 11 am. We were walking in the woods, looking for any kind of wild life, only this squirrel showed up, but he posed for for while.Lighting
This photo was taken during the morning in fairly heavy wooded area, but the weather was nice with a beautiful blue sky.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS R with the Canon 100-400 lens @400mm, at F5.6, 1/60 sec ISO 400,Inspiration
When walking in the woods to look for wild life, you search for opportunity, and when it present itself, you must be ready to take the photo. On that day, this guy was on the ground, and when he saw me, he climb in a tree, but stayed close enough, and long enough for me to take my time to get a good composition, and shot a few shots.Editing
Just basic adjustment in Lightroom. In my camera bag
It will depends what I go out for, but I have a few lens, from wide angle to my 100-400 mm. I own also a macro lens, and extension tubes. I will normally use a tripod for macro and landscape photography. I will use also ND filters to create long exposure.Feedback
Take you time, be patient, and observed your subject to understand their behavior. Also practice, practice, practice!
