Location
I took this photo in Brasil, at a shore city called Santos an hour off of Sao Paulo. It was right at the beginning of the pandemic, the streets were empty.Time
It was noon on a cloudy day at the beach, at that point we could still walk the boardwalk. So I went for a hike along the bay.Lighting
Since it was cloudy, I didn't have to care much about shadows, being mid day and all, the situation was great, so I set my camera to auto.Equipment
I was using my Nikon D750 with my 24-140mm. On auto.Inspiration
The streets were empty at the beach on a hot day mid summer in Brasil, a rare, odd, apocaliptical environment to be in. Most people scared even to come out the window. In a normal day those porches would be full of people looking at the ocean and enjoying the brease. This is a massive 40 stories beach front glass covered building, most envirame talists would have a heart attack over it. But when I looked up the were not a soul out. It really freaked me out.Editing
I actually just cropped tighter a little since I took it wide. And add a little contrast. In my camera bag
Nikon D750 24-140mm and a 50mm prime. Batteries, cards. Usual stuff.Feedback
Feel the environment, understand what is happening, go for the unusual.
