Behind The Lens
Location
I took this picture while at a farmers market in the city of Campo Grande, in the far west country of Brasil. The region has a lot of meat and milk farms, and a secondary product for the region is leather. The region is also big into Rodeos theefore the market for boots is huge.Time
It was around 10 am, I was at the farmers market to buy fresh meat cuts for a cookout with friends, and since I lived 17 years in the USA, and I had just returned to Brasil at the time of this shot in November 2018, I felt "homesick" and took the picture.Lighting
No this is not a merchandise shot, it is not from a job, unfortunately. I wish t was.Equipment
I actuallly took this picture with my cellphone, a Motorola Z2 force, with one of the best cameras set at the time. Normaly I live it in the cinema mode.Inspiration
I'm, not a typical foreigner, I did identify myself with the American culture, the healthy part of it. The cowboy, truck, Texan culture is a way of life, and I thought those boots resembled that.Editing
I cropped the photo, it is a shelf inside of a shoe stand, with several boots of all sorts, the focus was on the American flag boot.In my camera bag
I personally own a Nikon D750, with a 50mm 1.4 always attached to it, And a Telephoto 18-140mm on stand by. A few extra batteries and SDHC cards. My point and shoot is always my flagship smartphone, today a Huawei P30 Pro.Feedback
Always have a point and shoot equipment that can give you quality RAW pictures, so you won't miss moments.
