This photo was taken while I was snapping photos of the kiddos working on their homeschooling. We had to occupy the 1 year old in some way... this kept him busy for quite a while. I started my photography journey in September of 2019... and I have my camera out for one reason or another every day.Time
This was taken late morning. We were just finishing up our morning work and getting ready to make lunch.Lighting
I have taken many photos in my kitchen because of these windows right here. They let in the prettiest morning light.Equipment
Handheld my Nikon D750 with my new Tamron 45mm 1.8 lens.Inspiration
I love playing with shutter speed when there is water involved. He was just as enamored with the water as I was.Editing
Very little. Just brought up the shadows and turned down the highlights. I did a little brush on the hand for the same thing because it was a little too dark.In my camera bag
I have 2 manual lenses (Nikon 55mm 3.5 and Nikon 180mm 2.8) and 2 autofocus lenses (Tamron 45mm 1.8 and a Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2) I need to invest in a nice tripod but haven't yet.Feedback
Natural light is my go-to. I started in September with a Nikon D3300 and realized quickly I wanted a full frame. I purchased my Nikon D750 in December and I absolutely love it. I sold my flash and only use natural light and reflectors if needed. The best advice I've ever recieved is to not be afraid of high ISO. For the most part, as long as you expose correctly there is very little grain. If it's really dark, I will slightly overexpose just to decrease the grain.
