Great photo Have you tried to straighten the photo to see if it looks even better that way? Not that it doesn't look great now cuz it does. I probably over straighten my photos so that's why I was asking if u already tried that and maybe like it better this way. Good job. I awarded you the highest I could.

Thank you Mat. Actually the photo is level the leading line you are seeing is part of the field. I had to determine how and what I wanted to be level. I chose the base of buildings to be a level area. I am very thankful for your opinion. Thank you again.

Location
I was driving home from a photo play-day, having fun taking photos and turn onto a two lane highway. As I drove for a small distance I saw this farm off to the side of the road. The area is in the Oley Valley near were I live. Photography is my pressure release button and my education in photography is for the most part self-taught. I've been taking pictures since I've been a kid.Time
This photo was taken at dusk and the light levels were pretty low. But I liked the sunlight on the farm so I took several shots anyway. Your eyes tell you one thing and the camera says another. It was a bit breezy too. I had to hold the tripod to steady the camera.Lighting
I really liked the back lit look of the farm. The sun was dipping below the horizon so there wasn't much time to get the shot. I did the best I could. Within another 5 minutes I would have lost all light for any shot.Equipment
At the time I was using an Olympus E-300 and a 75mm-300mm lens. that was my one and only camera and I ran ti till the shutter failed.Inspiration
My inspiration for this shot was the farm itself. As I like farms, they always have something to photograph. I liked the warm sun light around it. The farmhouse is different from the rest of the buildings and there were some farming machines around the farm making the perfect setting for the shot.Editing
Yes. I was so disappointed when I saw the Raw image I almost destroyed the shot. What saved it was I really liked the shot. The only thing I did basically to save the shot was some HDR using some settings to make it look somewhat like a painting than a photo. Other adjustments were slight sharpening and some light level adjustments Nothing else.In my camera bag
I had a new tripod that I had just bought and the Olympus E-300 and two lenses.Feedback
Let you eyes be your guide. Look for the lighting. Don't stop shooting wether you think it's good or not. You never know when your keeper is next. Watch you meter readings. I sometimes get so excited I forget this part. Everything is about the light.
