Behind The Lens

Location

This is the seeding part of the Oyster Plant. It is like the Dandelion plant but much larger in size. It was been awhile since I have taken this photo and the Camera was an Olympus E-3 camera with a macro lens and an extension tube to allow me to really look into the plant. This photo was a studio shot and set on a table with a vase to hold it in place. The lighting was regular light bulb and a flashlight for different lighting effects. The usage of a macro lens and extender tube allowed me to get real close and to peer inside. I accidentally found this in my yard and was enamored by its structure. I was even amazed when I was able to peer this gem of a plant and really see the inside workings of this plant. I have used different light such as a blue based light and a yellow based light. I like then both with this plant.

Time

I recall the time of day to be in evening for photographing.

Lighting

Incandescent... lighting and a flash lighting for effect.

Equipment

Olympus E 3 Camera, Vase, tripod.

Inspiration

the beauty of this plant

Editing

Everything you see has been edited for light balance, exposure, contrast and visual appeal.

In my camera bag

I have several camera bags for different usage. Each bag has a pro camera with lenses for various usage and long lenses for that snap off in the distance. and a point and shoot for those quickie snaps. A tripod is a must for quality shooting.

Feedback

In photography it is better to have the equipment than to need the equipment and not have it. I photograph everything and anything. I review photos of long ago and new snaps. you can find things you did not see in your works of photography. Keep shooting and playing with your camera and photos... Join a club there new experienced photographers that can show you tricks to shooting and editing. Make it a pleasure to use your camera, be it on a trip or just in playing in your back yard. Make your photography a snap.....
