This photo was captures around mid day during Mating Season, Spring.Lighting
I love ducks. These Mandarin Ducks were really cute. The sky was overcast an favorite time of day as the sun is soft and the light was wonderful.Equipment
Camera used was the Olympus E-3 and the F stop was 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/250. Color scale was RGB. Image taken March 2012. A jpeg image.Inspiration
What inspired me to photograph these two were having so much fun, Bobbing their heads and talking to each other with not a care in the world. I thing they were brothers.....Editing
Post processing is a must to get quality color balance, Sharpness, Contrasting, and actual color as I see them in real life. My touchup is to make sure there is quality within the photo. In my camera bag
These days I tend to use my Canon 7D with a 100 to 400 fast glass lens. I have assorted lenses packed for macro and close capture photos. I always have a point and shoot for a quick shot and of backup. I use a Gitzo Tripod because it is quick lightweight and easy to set up for a nice capture. Note I like to have filters and polarizers, as the sun is hot.Feedback
I have photographed everything I can find and still do as one never knows when you might use the photo in some cases just for fun. Partner with another photographer for learning events that do pop up. Most important. Just have fun learning your photography craft. Beside to share share share......Everyone needs inspiration....
