Sandy: Can't recall if I told you about working for Don Bleitz. He was assembling a photographic encyclopedia of birds of North America, and I transcribed his field notes. This was around 1970 or '71. My favorite day was when he brought a saw-whet owl into the studio to photograph it. He had an aviary atop our building, and I'd seen hummingbirds, etc., but that little owl really captured my heart. Your shots are beautiful. Thank you for the journeys.
