Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home studio in Northwest Indiana.

Time

This was taken near midday, although that doesn't matter much. It was indoors with a blanket hung on a closet door for a backdrop and studio lighting.

Lighting

This was part of a 1st birthday cake smash session. This mother had been breastfeeding the whole year of her little guys life and wanted a beautiful picture to document and celebrate that.

Equipment

I shot this with a Canon Rebel 300D and an 18-55 kit lens. I used umbrella lighting.

Inspiration

Breastfeeding is a hard journey and when this mom asked me to help her capture that moment i immediately said yes! This is such an accomplishment.

Editing

In post process I lightened up the photo a bit as well as upped the contrast and shadows and highlight.

In my camera bag

2 bodies, 3 lens, numerous filters and accessories, backup batteries and sd/cf cards. I also keep dum dum pops in there for kids.
