Location
This photo was taken in the client's home in rural Northwest Indiana.Time
This specific session was in mid afternoon, but on a very cloudy day!Lighting
I used mainly natural light coming through the windows, but with it being a cloudy day, I did have to supplement with one standard umbrella light.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel 300d, with the kit 18-55 lens. I also used a basic umbrella light.Inspiration
I was running a deal on boudoirs for Valentine's day and this specific client was getting her images from her session turned into a hardcover book for her husband.Editing
I try to get the settings right in camera so that I don't have to do much in post. For this particular shot I made it monochrome, and adjusted the brightness as well as shadows and highlights to put emphasis on her great form.In my camera bag
TOO MUCH! Right now I have 2 bodies, 4 lenses, 3 macro add ons, about a million filters (that I never use might I add), numerous batteries for both bodies, a speedlight taking up a bunch of room, chargers, and of course candy for the kiddos!Feedback
I have had the best luck with boudoirs by being interactive. I get up there and show them that I am not too good to show them what specific pose I am looking for. I show them the camera display every once in a while, so they keep up the confidence. Wine always helps with these too! :)
