Behind The Lens

Location

This was either taken at Ocean City Md or Outer Banks. I was practicing getting birds flying, the beach is a great place to do that. I like to get them stopped in motion. It took quite a few shots to get what I wanted and without any people in the shot.

Time

This was probably taken in the morning, I try to go out early before the sun is so bright.

Lighting

I like to use the natural light. The only thing I can say is I try to keep the light behind me so you can see details

Equipment

I know it was a canon camera but not sure which one it was. I was just holding it in my hand and following the birds as they fly near me.

Inspiration

I love taking pictures of birds flying mostly to see their beautiful wings when outstretched

Editing

I dont do a lot of post processing, if I did it would have been to lighten it up a little or if any photo bombs happened, to get them out of the picture

In my camera bag

I always have 2 camera, just in case 1 didnt work, I have a tripod, batteries, lenses, macro lens, cleaning cloths for lens glass, remote shutter, circular polarizing filter, neutral density filters, battery chargers.

Feedback

Practice, practice, practice. with moving objects it may take a couple of shots to get want you want, and with birds you dont know which way they are going to go, they are so quick.
