Location
This photo was taken on the beach in Durban, South Africa. I am a self taught photographer and trying new things every chance I get to shoot. I personally prefer location shoots to studio as you have a lot more to work with and you can come up with some great creative shots! And also those shots will be unique because not every photographer will go shoot there and think to take the same shot! Everyone has their own point of view.Time
It was taken in the afternoon at around 3pm, to mainly use natural light and exposure for minimal post production.Lighting
I wanted a beautiful vibrant images with some shadows to showcase the details of all aspectsEquipment
This image was shot on a Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm lens! Yes you read right! Still a small kit but it gets the job done that I need it to! One day I will upgrade to the big boys but everyone should understand it's not the equipment that creates your images, it's you.Inspiration
The beauty in the scenery. It's all about serendipity for me when capturing images!Editing
I did some minor post-processing just to make it pop and add my style. In my camera bag
Always have my two kit lenses with me, which are the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm, as well as a monopod and a reflector! And a spare memory card.Feedback
When capturing images it's not about forcing an image. I like my subjects to continue naturally and flow, I like to capture the unexpected moments along with some set poses. Capturing moments of serendipity is a beautiful thing and you get some of the best images from it. My advice would be to keep clicking away and get all the angles you can, also get up close and personal or take a step back! Every kind of perspective is a unique one of your own and there are many things that can come of it! And always! I mean always be yourself! Never try to be a second rate version of someone else! I know it is very difficult to find a style that you love and stick to it, but it will be your style that gets you noticed!
