I kept passing these poppies along the interstate and although we live in beautiful area here in WNC, I really wanted to photograph these. So, I pulled off the interstate, quickly grabbed my gear and proceeded to walk into the middle of the path of poppies. After I started shooting, I quit hearing the semi trucks whizzing by way too close. Glad I stopped. Don't know if I'd do it again.
