Location
The photograph was took outside on the patio in my back garden, this was shortly after sunset. It was a strange sky to say the least, there was no editing involved what so ever. I’m quite fortunate where I live as the back of our house faces over fields with no obstructions apart from the trees and the farmhouse in the distance. I used the silhouette of the trees and farm buildings to give it a framed look to give it a border and highlight the evening sky.Time
This was took shortly after sunset. At the start of BST, I leave my camera all set up on my tripod as we get a lot of wildlife, you never know what’s either going to land or pass through the gardenLighting
This was took with no lighting, as the sky even though it was passed sunset, there was just enough light to capture that moment in timeEquipment
I used my new to me camera Nikon D7200, on a Manfrotto tripod, with a sigma 150-500mm telephoto photo lens.Inspiration
It’s really good where I live as our overview is fields and a farmhouse and outbuildings. It was the colour of the sky that inspired me to take this picture, the colours did not look as good to the naked eye, but when I downloaded it onto my computer I was took a back even more. Im only an amateur photographer who only took up land photography last year, I enjoy it as a pass-time hobby.Editing
There was no post processing involved at all, as it came out just the way I wanted itIn my camera bag
Nikon D7200 , Nd filters, 50mm prime lens, 18-200mm sigma macro/telephoto lens, 70-300mm telephoto lens and a Nikon flash saddle mountedFeedback
Just take in your surrounds, and try and use as much natural silhouettes to make them as a frame to capture the natural skies and beauty of them also
