The Snaefellsnes Penisnsula was experiencing unpredented rain. It was nonstop, torrential rain. Visiting for only a couple of days, I had to go out and see what I could see. For a brief moment, the skies let up and I could see this church (Ingjaldshólskirkja) framed by the tiered mountains behind it. I was drawn to the contrast.
