Night heron have the red eyes that help it see at night. Photo was shot in morning at Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa Fl. which is along the Hillsborough River. There is also a yellow cap night heron. They are normally pretty well hid under branches of the ones I've seen so far. and by the river banks waiting on fish... still learning about them..
