Location
This photo was taken on the South shore of Oneida Lake, in Lakeport NYTime
Taken at sunrise, often as I get ready to leave for work in the morning, I'll see this type of thing prompting me to go back in the house, grab the camera and head for the shore.Lighting
The early morning natural lighting was perfect for this type of photo, no need for anything artificial.Equipment
Shot with a Canon t3i and the kit lens, hand held.Inspiration
The scene presented itself and that's all it took. I quickly realized I needed to capture it.Editing
Very little post processing. It was shot in raw format so I did use lightroom to export it to a jpg.In my camera bag
Canon t3i, eos 6d mark 2, several lenses, including a short zoom, long zoom, 50mm prime, flash, trigger, portable softbox, spare batteries, SD cards, chargers, business cards.Feedback
I think it is more about being there and less about equipment and technique. The best pictures are the ones that were most illusive. You need to be willing to be in places or situations that are not necessarily comfortable.
