This photograph was taken in my bedroom on a Sunday afternoon in SeptemberTime
It was a Sunday afternoon. I found her sunburned skin perfect for a nude shot. Her contrasted bikini skin marks were ideal. As it still was very bright outside, I had to close the blinds for more privacy. I kept the ceiling light and the bedside table light as a shiny background and some back lighting.Lighting
As my ceiling light consists of two small spotlights with 75W bulbs, I had a diffused soft but enough light all over the room. The table lamp had a 40W bulb and was very near to the wall so it gave me some back highlights.Equipment
This series of photos or photo shoot if you prefer, were taken with my Nokia 6600 phone with a resolution of 640x480 pxl. I use nothing else as the room lights.Inspiration
I always wanted to explore my phone camera,as i was starting to be addicted to its weigh and always pocket ready camera. This afternoon, this available model with her contrasted and burned skin was like a cry for a more elaborated experience. i had all the ingredients, it was the perfect scenario.Editing
Yes. As written before the original photo was in "color", and with very small resolution 480x640pxl. It had to be post processed. The color wasn't right, but the goal was always black and white so color was the first thing lost. Contrast of blacks and highlights needed to be adjust and the low resolution needed some grain to disguise the defects. In my camera bag
Since Phones start taken pictures i felt the freedom of loosing my heavy and volume gear. At first it was difficult to accept the loss of the size of the photographs but little by little I got used to the idea. And as years passed by and phone cameras evolve I now use my iPhone with its 12 Mpx camera for almost 75% of my pictures. Mobility and weight , immediately share with media and resolution is perfectly for most of my pictures. Obviously there are photos that still require my Nikon D850 and a 200mm 2.8 lens. Or a wide angle for architecture photography. Actually is my clients decision. If he needs quality for print or not so much for internet. Still, some work needs more then just a phone pocket lens camera.Feedback
Comply with the rules of photography with framing and lighting when available. Tripod for low-light expose is mandatory. And remember, if you can solve it in the shooting not in post. But do not blind yourself of experimenting and pushing limits. When you have an idea, go for it. Apply all your wisdom and practice and if needed be creative. But never give up
