Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Hudson Yards in Manhattan, NYC. I was exploring the High Line when I came across this beautiful piece of architecture.

Time

I was exploring the High Line in the mid afternoon. Over some construction I was able to see the top of this piece. I knew I had to find it. I took this photo at around 2:30 pm.

Lighting

I adore natural lighting. As a photographer that uses film the sun is my best friend.

Equipment

I shot this with my Canon T60 with a 50 mm lens. I also used 400 ISO 35 mm colour flim.

Inspiration

I enjoy walking around cities and taking photos of whatever catches my eye. With this piece of architecture called Vessel, or as I like to call it the stairway to nowhere I thought it was beautiful.

Editing

I don't usually do any post processing to my film photos

In my camera bag

My bag is pretty simple just my trusty camera and a couple rolls of 35 mm film.

Feedback

You have to be willing to explore a city. Get ready for a foot ache! Don't be afraid to snap many photos, if something catches your eye snap away! Finally for my digital friends, try to only check our your photos at the end of the day. You can miss some incredible shots while looking down at a screen.
