After the Andalusian town of Testour and the archaeological site of Dougga, here we are in the city of Kef and if we say El Kef, we can’t mention two must-see places, Kasbah of Kef and Mausoleum of Sidi Bou Makhlouf. ????????????????❤️????☕????
Erected in 1600 by the Ottomans, the Citadel of Kef dominates as "a golden crown" the hill of the "Djebel Addir" of the city of Kef. ????????????❤️
The "Citadel of the Kasbah" or "Kasbah of Kef" is considered a brilliant jewel in this quiet city and has remained upright and unshakable for four centuries, despite the invasions, opening its arms like a guardian angel that protects it from threats exterior. ????????????????❤️????☕????
To visit this monument and immerse yourself in its past, the visitor has only to climb the hill, nestled at 735 meters altitude Djbel Addir and will be in front of a gigantic portal in the middle of a thick wall with a huge window. ????????????❤️
This gate is carved wood Ottoman style. The interior is a historical fresco, with on the left of the entrance remains of canons of the time arranged as ready to repel any untimely attack. ????????????????❤️????☕????
Opposite is a long corridor leading to large "Oudha" rooms. Some served as stores of arms and ammunition, others used as kitchens and bedrooms and stewardship. ????????????❤️
This corridor ends on its right by a door leading to a large courtyard used today to organize festivals and other cultural events that saw artists from Tunisia and elsewhere come on the stage; as well as exhibitions of local and regional crafts. ????????????????❤️????☕????
Good Evening my dear friends ????????????❤️????☕????
Thanks for all comments and all support ????????????????❤️????☕????
