Behind The Lens

Location

In the deserts if southeast New Mexico. Sometimes working long hours in the oilfield pays off with amazing sunsets.

Time

At sunset.

Lighting

Nothing special with lighting in this one, I wanted the pump jack in silhouette so I just focus on the backlighting of the sunset.

Equipment

I take 98% if my pictures on my cellphone.

Inspiration

We have amazing sunsets here in New Mexico so they always inspiring.

Editing

I just adjusted the blacks to give more of a silhouette feel to the image.

In my camera bag

Most of my pictures are taken on my cellphone so nothing special or fancy here.

Feedback

Sunsets are about patience and timing, sometimes you need to wait in the ideal spot for a while to get the colors and shadows just right.
