Location
This photo was taken along a creek in the city that I live. I felt that this looked good in b&w vs color. The buildings were once warehouses and factories, but have been converted to breweries and restaurants.Time
This was taken in the early morning at the end of February 2019.Lighting
Nothing really, other than I felt that the contrast created by the morning light lent itself more to a b&w.Equipment
Nikon D7500 and 16-80mm @ 24mmInspiration
It was a nice morning and I decided to walk the park and see if anything caught my eye. I initially was attracted to the reflections of the flags, but also liked the way all the lines (railing, creek, and buildings) lined up.Editing
Started in Lightroom and did some adjustments to exposure, etc. Converting it to b&w to emphasize the contrast. I then adjusted the blue to darken the sky and bring out the clouds. I then exported it to Photoshop to clean up the sky (remove some contrails) and some minor clean-up.In my camera bag
Don't own a lot of equipment so mostly I have my D7500, a few lenses (16-80, 18-140), ND and polarizing filters, and a tripod.Feedback
The best advice is just to get out there and always have your camera. There has been a lot of times where I wish I had brought the camera. Also, explore your local area.
