Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at one of my favorite hang out places at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, California. I saw a hole in the cliff and figured it might make a good frame to capture the island rock.

Time

This photo was taken mid morning. There was some extreme lighting but I still managed to use it to my advantage and capture this moment.

Lighting

The lighting was harsh but worked nice for this shot.

Equipment

I shot this photo using my Sony a6500 and 35mm 1.8 lens.

Inspiration

A hole in the rock I figured might make a good frame.

Editing

Yes, added contrast and a few other minor adjustments in Adobe Lightroom.

In my camera bag

All Sony gear, usually smaller Sony mirror-less cameras and a variety of lenses.

Feedback

Be creative, don't be afraid to use natural elements as a frame!
