This image was taken in the ocean off Kona, Hawaii while snorkeling with the dolphins.Time
It was morning time, the sun had just crested over the hills from behind. It was creating some awesome light and bokeh which made for some cool shots with the dolphins.Lighting
It was perfect morning light, as rays were beaming from behind the mountain range.Equipment
Sony a6500 and Sony 35 1.8 lens with a SPL Water Housing.Inspiration
I wanted to capture the dolphins underwater in their natural habitat and this was one of my favorite images from that day.Editing
I did minimal post processing, just adding some contrast and a little saturation.In my camera bag
I always have my little Sony mirror-less cameras with me (A6000 and A6500) and my favorite lens, the Sony 35 1.8.Feedback
Being at the right place at the right time is most important thing, putting yourself in the path of the dolphins and trying to swim and keep up with them by diving down etc. is the best way to get the shots! Nice lighting helps too.
