When a whole group of surfers were enjoying practising their art on this standing wave on a fast-running channel that is part of the River Isar complex near Munich, this guy was the most proficient - here showing the completion of a fast, sharp turn just before crashing into the wall. Real control and precision! He went across the wave and back again a number of times, doing these sharp turns each time, before finally dropping off the back of the wave to let one of the others have a go.

Taken with my phone as I did not have my camera with me - slapped wrist!! Just taking the dogs for a walk!
