Painted In The Shade Of Blue

This is Painted Lady butterfly. Yesterday I counted the kinds of butterflies in my organic garden. There were 8 kinds of butterflies and this is one of them. Aside from butterflies, I saw bumble, green sweat bees and other kinds. I saw also grasshoppers, dragonflies. They are all great subjects with all the colors of the flowers. I noticed Painted Lady butterflies are not so much shy and they don't fly away even if I already put the tip of my lens in their faces. The Monarch butterflies if they noticed me so close to them, they immediately fly. The Common Brimstone, Eastern Tailed Blue and Southern Dogface Butterflies are posers too. Now, if you love macro and insect photography you can grow organic garden (totally ditch the chemicals and growth hormone) I am so sure they will visit you and years after years the numbers are increasing. And by the way highway, they are pollinators that will die when you use any chemicals.
