Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken at the Pueblo Zoo. I was experimenting with a set of telephoto lens I have purchased for my smartphone. The shot turned out. The lens set impressed me, though most of the lens fell apart.Time
With my family in the bird atrium. Was one of those times when the planets align. Kids were having fun and all the birds seemed to especially photogenic. Like almost if the birds were displaying themselves just for us.Lighting
The lighting just worked out. Nothing special here. Was indoors with skylights. Sunny outside. Never have been a big lighting person. Always think of lighting as a static element in my photos. It’s something I don’t really try to change or manipulate, but just work with what’s given to me in each photo.Equipment
iPhone X with a telephoto lens kit. Had just purchase the lens kit. Thought the zoo would be a great place to test out the lens.Inspiration
I like taking pictures of animals and then illustrating them digitally.Editing
No, no post processingIn my camera bag
Usually it’s just my iPhone now a days. I do have a bag with a Minolta film SLR and an array of antiquated digital cams.Feedback
Just shoot photos. Practice, practice, practice. When the right photo opportunity appears your chances of a great shot increase exponentially.
